Faribault Woolen Mill Company

I remember when I learned that Faribault and those blankets were made fewer than 40 miles from my hometown. I felt just that much cooler for being from the ‘burbs of Minneapolis. So, when I got to work on their website? I was a little more grown up about bragging on it, but…not really.

It’s always fun to work on a brand with an iconic product. But Faribault Woolen Mill was so much more than that. Its rich history was absolutely fascinating and watching how each piece they made still followed the same process that was close to centuries old, my appreciation for the durability and the design skyrocketed. In a time when terms like “artisanal” and “hand-crafted” get tossed around without much consideration, it was easy to let the craftsmanship shine through without a whole lot of marketing-speak.
